Прямо сейчас для обнала карт доступно полсотни предложений с ожидаемым дисконтом от 11 до 20%. Предполагаю, что процентов 5 берет себе purse, т. е. владельцам крипты достанется 6-15% - что тоже неплохо.
Экономика маркетплейса, видимо, основана на недобросовестных подрядчиках Амазона, которые присваивают себе карты в полупромышленных количествах. Или, может быть, на жителях стран, куда Амазон ещё не пришел, а карты они где-то в онлайне в подарок получают. Обычная американская семья по идее не должна иметь никаких проблем с использованием “валюты” интернет-магазина – уж если сами вдруг не пользуются, так друзьям по номиналу отдадут. За счет чего дает пятипроцентную скидку сам purse – я вообще не понимаю. Магия. Даже венчурные деньги такие субсидии не объясняют, purse немного привлекал, Crunchbase знает только 1.3 миллиона долларов инвестиций, да и те несколько лет назад. Финансировать покупки их бы явно не хватило.
